I quite honestly was shocked at how many people recognized me on this voice cameo on season one of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt! Years ago, I was chosen to be one of Microsoft’s speech-to-text voices (Microsoft Dave). It’s kind of bizarre to hear a voice synthesis version of your own voice! When I was called on to do the mechanical voice for for this episode, I channeled that slightly strange sounding Microsoft automated version of myself as I “bossed” Jane Krakowski around!
Since it was the first season, the show was not yet known, but I remember watching the rough cut scenes, and thinking how big this show was going to be! I did a few other things for that season, which I’ll save for a future post.
